Player with Italian roots. Oldest of six children, including Cammi Granato (who married Ray Ferraro), a stellar performer for the Women’s US National team for many years.
Had a good career in college with University of Wisconsin where he studied business.
Versatile and very speedy forward who could play all three forward positions.
Was a feisty player who worked hard and had the ability to jump in and out of holes to be in the right spot for scoring chances.
Quick wrist shot and an intense competitor who never gave up on the puck.
Had an operation to remove an abnormal collection of blood in the left temporal lobe of his brain in 1996.
Always admired the play of Chris Chelios. Retired in 2001.

Went on to coach in the NHL and in the NCAA. Coached Team USA during 2018 Olympic Games.
