One of the most electrifying players of the 1970s.
He could really fly on his skates and his effortless and fluid style quickly gained him great popularity among the fans.
This artist on skates was also nicknamed ”Le Démon Blond” for his blond long hair, wild rushes down the ice and booming shot.
Highly touted as a junior. Was seen as the new Jean Béliveau.
First NHL player to score 50 goals and 100 points in six consecutive seasons during the 1970s.
Was at the time the fastest player to reach the 1000 NHL point plateau (720 games).
Was knocked out from a huge hit after only a few seconds into his first shift in the 1981 World Championship tournament, courtesy of Hollands Canadian Rick van Gog.
Lafleur never bounced back in the tournament after that.
Retired during the 1984/85 season. Made a comeback in 1988 and finished his great playing career in Québec 1991.
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

L'un des joueurs les plus galvanisants des années 1970.
Il pouvait véritablement voler sur ses patins et son style fluide et aérien lui valut rapidement une grande popularité auprès du public.
Cet artiste du patinage était également surnommé Le Démon Blond pour sa longue chevelure blonde, ses percées sauvages et son lancer fulgurant.
Très coté en tant que junior. Il était considéré comme le futur Jean Béliveau.
Premier joueur NHL à avoir inscrit 50 buts et 100 points en six saisons consécutives dans les années 1970.
Il devint alors le joueur le plus rapide à avoir atteint la barre des 1 000 points en NHL (en 720 matchs).
Blessé par une charge violente après quelques secondes du premier match des Mondiaux de 1981, asséné par le Canado-Néerlandais Rick van Gog.
Lafleur n'a jamais pu peser sur le tournoi suite à cela.
Il prit sa retraite durant la saison 1984/85. Il fit un retour en 1988 et termina son exceptionnelle carrière au Québec en 1991.
Intronisé au Hockey Hall of Fame.
1353 points (560+793) en 1126 parties de saison régulière de NHL.
