Began playing club hockey at the age of nine. In 1998, won the Gullpucken awarded to the best player in Norway. Highly skilled player who turned down several offers from foreign clubs.
Very creative and was called "Mr.Magic" by Stjernen fans. In Fredrikstad, he formed a dangerous line in Stjernen with Hasse Edlund (Sweden) and Chris Saint-Cyr (Canada).
Played 863 league games for Stjernen, scoring 934 points (424+510). In addition he played 392 games as a junior for them. Retired in 2001.

Commence le hockey dès ses neuf ans. Vocation précoce qui portera ses fruits. Élu en 1998 meilleur joueur de Norvège ("Gullpucken"). Centre très talentueux à une époque où son pays en produisait peu. Réclamé à l'étranger, il est toujours resté fidèle au Stjernen Fredrikstad.
Créatif et élégant, il y formait une belle ligne avec le Suédois Hasse Edlund et le Canadien Chris Saint-Cyr. Les fans l'appelaient "Mr Magic".
Disputera en tout 863 matches de championnat avec Stjernen, pour 934 points (424+510). Ajouter à cela 392 matches en catégories de jeunes pour le même club. Prit sa retraite à 34 ans.
