Both of his parents, Michael Noah [1891-1968] and Christine Isaac [1894-1961] originated from Syria/Lebanon, and immigrated to United States in 1905.
John Noah was a versatile player and the third University of North Dakota player to be an All-American hockey player in 1951.
His great season the previous year at UND earned him a spot on the 1952 U.S. Olympic team.
Became a hockey coach in later years. Passed away of Alzheimer’s disease.

Joueur polyvalent, John Noah fut le troisième étudiant de l'université de North Dakota à être élu parmi les meilleurs joueurs du pays (All-American) en 1951.
Cette très bonne saison lui a valu une sélection dans l'équipe olympique américaine l'année suivante.
Devenu ultérieurement entraîneur de hockey. Décédé de la maladie d'Alzheimer.
