Born in Leipzig, Saskatchewan to American born (North Dakota) parents. He grew up in Wilkie, Saskatchewan, but then moved to Alberta as a youth.
Served in WWII and then played for Dartmouth and North Battleford.
Came to England in 1947 and played there for several years, representing the London club Streatham.
Worked with Waterloo Lincoln-Mercury and retired as Vice-President and general sales manager in the 1980s.
Battled pancreatic cancer for six months before he passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital of gastrointestinal bleed.
Born in 1924 and not 1925 according to his death certificate.

Né à Leipzig (Saskatchewan) de parents américains (du Dakota du Nord), il a grandi à Wilkie (Saskatchewan) avant d'arriver en Alberta dans sa jeunesse.
Il a combattu à l'occasion de la seconde guerre mondiale puis a joué à Dartmouth et North Battleford.
Il arriva en Angleterre en 1947 et y joua quelques années, dans le club londonien de Streatham.
Il a travaillé pour le concessionnaire automobile Waterloo Lincoln-Mercury et était devenu Vice-Président et directeur des ventes au moment de sa retraite dans les années 1980.
Il s'est battu six mois contre un cancer du pancréas avant de décéder d'hémorragies gastro-intestinales au Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Né en 1924 et non en 1925 selon son acte de décès.
