Big defenseman who began playing hockey at the age of six in Huddinge. Weighed more than 12 lbs (5,5 kg) at birth.
Late bloomer who got his break at a fairly advanced age and nearly quit hockey when he was in his mid 20s.
At 25 he was elected best rookie in the Elitserien and became Swedish champion 1996. Nicknamed "Älgen" (Moose).
World champion 1998. Austrian champion 2000 et 2001 avec Klagenfurt.
Retired in 2003 after having suffered from a blood cloth in his leg earlier.
Worked as a painter and then became a policeman in Stockholm.

Grand défenseur (194 cm) qui a commencé le hockey à six ans à Huddinge. Il pesait plus de 5,5 kg à la naissance.
Un joueur arrivé tardivement à maturité, et qui n'intégra l'Elitserien qu'à 25 ans après avoir failli arrêter le hockey.
Il fut élu meilleur débutant et termina champion en 1996 à sa première saison dans l'élite.
Champion du monde 1998. Surnommé "Älgen" (l'élan).
2 points (0+2) en 23 parties dans la NHL pour les Rangers de New York (1998/99).
Champion d'Autriche 2000 et 2001 avec Klagenfurt.
Retraité en 2003 après avoir souffert d'un caillot de sang à la jambe.
Il travailla comme peintre puis est devenu policier à Stockholm.
