Began playing hockey in his native Sokolov before moving to Karlovy Vary.
Small, athletic and acrobatic goaltender with a somewhat odd style.
Great reflexes and fast glovehand. Strong mentally.
Weaknesses: Rebounds and positioning.
Drafted by Vancouver Canucks (NHL) in 2002. Never played in the NHL, but spent two seasons as a junior in the OHL Ottawa 67’s.
Mensator represented the Czech Republic nine times.
He retired in 2018 and became a goaltending and assistant coach in the Czech third division.

Ses défauts étaient ses rebonds et son positionnement.
