Player with strong leadershp qualities and noted as one of the strongest two-way performers on his teams.
Played his junior hockey with the Kirkland Lake Tecks and Toronto St.Michael’s Majors.
His first senior team was the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen. With them he got to play at the 1960 Olympics.
After that he played with Galt Terriers/Hornets, winning the Allan Cup and earned two trips to the World Championships in 1962 and 1963.
Captained Canada in 1962.
His last season came in 1966/67 with the Guelph Regals.
Died from Alzheimer's disease.

Joueur avec de grandes qualités de meneur d'hommes et considéré comme l'un des plus travailleurs dans ses équipes.
Il a joué en junior pour les Tecks de Kirkland Lake et Toronto St.Michael’s Majors.
Sa première équipe senior fut les Dutchmen de Kitchener-Waterloo, avec qui il participa aux Jeux olympiques 1960.
Après cela il a porté les couleurs des Galt Terriers/Hornets, remportant la coupe Allan et représentant le Canada à l'occasion de deux Mondiaux, en 1962 et 1963.
Capitaine du Canada en 1962.
Sa dernière saison fut la saison 1966/67 avec les Regals de Guelph.
Décédé de la maladie d'Alzheimer à 83 ans.
