Centered a dangerous line with Bruce Cunliffe and Ralph Warburton, both at Dartmouth College and the US national team.
Had a quick shot and deceptive speed. He was like a waterbug on the ice, covering a lot of ice.
He earned a reputation as one of the Ivy League's greatest players of his generation and he could light it up internationally as well.
One of the two best players at the 1949 World Championships (with Czech Stanislav Konopásek).
Scored an impressive 139 points (84+55) in only 49 games that year for the U.S. National Team.
Inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame.
