Had good offensive skills, but these were often overshadowed by his physical presence, some would even say that he was borderline dirty at times.
Very good at keeping the crease clear of players. Good balance and agility on his skates.
Good at reading plays and was a capable playmaker. Gritty and at times intimidating. Did not back down from a fight.
In 1991 he took a punch in the throat from Sergio Momesso which damaged his larynx permanently and he was left with a low raspy voice.
Was an All-Star defenseman at the 1993 World Championships.
Picked up a respectable 2792 penalty minutes in 1103 NHL regular season games. Retired in 2002.
His son Josh went on to play in the NHL.

Ses bons gestes offensifs étaient totalement éclipsés par son jeu physique, que l'on pouvait qualifier de "sale" par moments.
Très bon pour nettoyer la zone. Bon équilibre et une bonne agilité sur ses patins.
Bonne lecture du jeu et des capacités de créateur. Brut et parfois intimidant. Toujours partant pour une bagarre.
