Excellent swift-skating rearguard and a fine puckhandler. Good playmaking skills.
Had a powerful shot. Had a good sense of when to pinch in at the blueline.
Had an array of slippery moves. Could carry the puck end to end. Strong on powerplays.
AHL First team All-Star and won the Eddie Shore Award as the top defenseman in 1990/91.
Retired in 1999. Had a successful career in hockey after his playing career was over, winning three Stanley Cups.
In the NHL he worked as an assistant coach, director of player development, director of player personnel and as an assistant general manager.

Excellent dans son patinage arrière et bon dans le maniement de palet. Des capacités de créateur de jeu.
Il possédait un lancer puissant et un excellent nez à la ligne bleue.
Un beau panel de mouvements. Il savait conduire le palet d'un but à l'autre. Costaud en supériorité numérique.
Dans la première équipe des étoiles AHL et détenteur du trophée Eddie Shore du meilleur défenseur en 1990/91.
Retraité en 1999, il connut une seconde carrière couronnée de succès en coulisses, en remportant trois coupe Stanley.
En NHL il travailla en effet comme assistant coach, directeur du développement des joueurs, directeur du personnel et assistant du manager général.
285 points (55+230) en 500 parties de saison régulière dans la NHL.
