Small goaltender in the Arturs Irbe mold. Flexible and quick goaltender.
In 2009 and 2015 he was voted as the best goaltender in the Latvian league.
Played three years in USA, and a total of three years in Germany, Czech Republic & Denmark.
Retired in 2018 and became a hockey coach.
While he was active he worked as a goaltending coach for the Latvian junior U-18 and U-20 teams.

Petit gardien sur le modèle d'Arturs Irbe. Souple et rapide.
En 2009 et 2015, il fut désigné meilleur gardien du championnat letton.
Il joua trois ans aux États-Unis, ainsi que trois saisons en Allemagne, République Tchèque et Danemark.
Retraité en 2018, devenu entraîneur de hockey.
Alors qu'il était encore actif, il travailla comme entraîneur des gardiens des sélections U-18 et U-20 lettones.
