Fine offensive instincts. Creative and liked to join the attacks.
Excellent playmaker and very useful on powerplays.
Played with more grit and brains than with brawn. Good hard low shot.
Scored 692 points in 1470 career games. Represented Finland 106 times, scoring 40 points (13+27).
While playing at Phoenix in 2000, he acquired a stake in Tampere Ilves. Retired in 2007.
Inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame.
