Won a record 12 consecutive Championship medals in the Finnish league, six of these times he won the Finnish league.
Represented Finland 14 times (5 goals).
Retired in 1964 and became a hockey coach, leading the Finnish National Team in five World Championships and two Olympics.
Known as a brilliant tactician, but also as a complex and colorful coach.
Inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame.
