Raised in a family of German ancestry with three brothers and seven sisters.
Was an underrated center who scored at a point-per-game pace during his playing career.
He graduated from the Ottawa Technical High School in 1944.
Was selected to represent Canada at the 1948 Olympics, but never dressed for any games, being a spare forward.
After the war he played with Hull Volants, Ottawa Senators, New Edinburghs, RCAF Flyers and Army, before rounding out his career with the Renfrew Millionaires and Buckingham Bucs 1951/52.
Worked in Toronto, ON for Canadian General Electric in civilian life.
Later in life he enjoyed playing bridge and golf.
Passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Center University Hospital.

Il a grandi dans une famille d'origine allemande, aux côtés de trois frères et sept soeurs.
Centre sous-estimé qui avait une moyenne d'un point par match durant toute sa carrière.
Diplômé du lycée technique d'Ottawa Technical en 1944.
Sélectionné avec le Canada pour les Jeux Olympiques de 1948, mais il ne fut aligné sur aucun match, restant attaquant réserviste.
