Uncle of Jori Lehterä. Unspectacular but reliable center.
Scored the game-winning goal who got his home club Espoo promoted into SM-liiga in 1992.
Drafted in the NHL by Florida Panthers 1994 but never got to play in the NHL.
He also played in Sweden, USA, Russia, Switzerland, Germany and Denmark.
Represented Finland 46 times, scoring 16 points (6+10).
Retired in 2007. Went on to work as a hockey analyst on TV for MTV. Became a hockey coach.
