Had good size and was highly competitive. Good agility and natural instincts.
Raised his level for the big games.
Was seen as a future franchise goalie when he came out of juniors.
Leclaire had three operations on his right hip, from which he was not able to recover.
He announced his retirement on November 13, 2012.

D'un bon gabarit et très compétitif. Une bonne agilité et un instinct naturel.
Il savait augmenter son niveau quand il attaquait de gros matchs.
Il était considéré comme un futur gardien de franchise quand il était chez les juniors.
Leclaire connut trois opérations de la hanche droite, dont il ne put se remettre totalement.
Il annonça sa retraite le 13 novembre 2012.
90,4% d'arrêts et 2,89 buts encaissés par match en 173 parties de saison régulière de NHL.
