Leblanc, Michel
Position : D
17-12-1959 Trois-Rivières, QC, CAN
Defenseman with good overview and fine first pass. Not a fast skater, but good pass quality.
Too small for a NHL career (176 cm, 78 kg) despite a strong junior career in the QMJHL.
Gap president scouted him in a Washington Capitals NHL camp and made him move to France in 1979.
There he established himself as one of the top defensemen and got a French passport in 1981.
165 games with French national team.
Retired in 2003 after having been the playing coach for several seasons.
