First American born player to be chosen first overall in the NHL draft.
Had unbelievable pressure on him when he entered the NHL.
Everyone expected him to put up big numbers in the NHL.
Very talented player who had all the tools but who couldn’t live up to the high expectations.
A fairly determined checker with good playmaking abilities.
Forechecked well and took the body effectively without taking himself out of the play.
Could also play center. Retired in 1993 and became a player agent.
