Nicknamed "Bam-Bam" or "Moose".
Was a solid defensive defenseman with good size who played efficiently in his own zone.
Accurate passer but not very skilled or fast.
Good and hard body checker and the type of player who seldom ventured into the offensive zone, primarily nailing opposing forwards into the boards in his own zone. “Old school” type.
Retired in 1987 and went on to coach in the WCHL and high school hockey.
Inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame.

Solide défenseur défensif de bonne taille qui jouait efficacement dans sa zone.
Passeur intéressant mais pas très technique ni rapide.
Dur sur l'homme, le genre de joueur à l'ancienne qui ne s'aventurait que rarement en zone offensive, mais que l'on retrouvait plutôt dans sa zone à encastrer les adversaires contre les bandes.
Retraité en 1987 et devint entraîneur en WCHL et en lycée.
Intronisé au Hall of Fame du hockey américain.
