Had great patience with the puck and good timing in his shots or passes. Even when lined up for a hit did he rarely just dump the puck randomly. Always had a thought behind his decisions.
Very well balanced on his skates. Good stickhandler with sharp shots.
Controversial player even with his own team fans. Doesn't look like giving 100% in every game.
World junior champion in 1986 with Soviet Union, Soviet champion 1990 and 1991 with Dynamo Moscow.
Drafted in the NHL by Washington Capitals in 1990. Attended a few NHL training camps but never made it all the way.
Best DEL goalscorer in 1995 with Schwenningen (44 goals), he left his team despite an ongoing contract. Signed with Davos but was soon released. Finished his career in Germany and at home in Belarus. Retired in 2008.
Went on to coach. First coached the China Dragon team in the Asian league, and then he coached the Chinese national team. Also coached the Belarus U-18 team and clubs in Belarus and Poland.

Joueur patient dont la grande qualité était le sens du timing. Délivrait ses passes et ses tirs au moment adéquat. Même menacé d'une mise en échec, il faisait en sorte de ne jamais balancer le palet. Ne faisait rien au hasard.
Très fort équilibre sur les patins. Bon dribbleur, doté d'un tir précis.
Joueur controversé qui divisait même les supporters de son équipe. Ne paraissait pas toujours motivé et avait une réputation de diva en club.
Champion du monde junior 1986 avec l'Union Soviétique, champion d'URSS 1990 et 1991 avec le Dynamo Moscou.
Drafté par les Capitals de Washington en 1990, il passe à peu près un an en Amérique du Nord entre 1992 et 1993 mais ne perce pas. Revient alors en Allemagne où il disputera l'essentiel de sa carrière de joueur achevée en 2008.
Meilleur buteur de DEL en 1995 avec Schwenningen (44 buts), il quitte le club malgré un contrat en cours pour signer à Davos mais ne fait pas long feu en Suisse. Il poursuit sa carrière en Allemagne, puis deux ans chez lui au Bélarus avant de raccrocher en 2008.
Devenu entraîneur, notamment en Chine (sélection nationale et China Dragon en Ligue asiatique). Également en charge de sélections nationales de jeunes du Bélarus et d'équipes de club en Pologne et au Bélarus.
