Born in Yellow Grass, SK and grew up in Elmira, ON. Normally a defenseman but was shifted to being a forward at the 1956 Olympics. Considered to be a steady defender but not a rugged checker. Was at his best in clutch situations. Packed an excellent shot from the blueline. Had good hockey sense.
Spent the majority of his playing career with Woodstock. Scored 293 (91+202) points in 642 career games. Retired in 1970. Passed away of cancer at Innisfree House, Ontario.

Né dans le Saskatchewan, il passe son enfance à Elmira, dans l'Ontario, province où il fera sa vie. Formé en défense, mais utilisé en attaque aux Jeux Olympiques 1956. Réputation d'un défenseur fiable mais peu porté sur le contact. Plein de sang-froid dans les moments tendus, bon tir de la bleue, flair aiguisé. Défenseur en avance sur son époque.
Jouera la majorité de sa carrière avec le club de Woodstock. 293 points (91+202) en 642 matches officiels jusqu'en 1970. Décédé d'un cancer peu avant son 82e anniversaire.
