An extrovert and eccentric personality who is not afraid to speak his mind.
A product of the Klostersee hockey academy, he joined Rosenheim in 1990 when he was 14. Played there until 1996.
Spent four seasons in the second division (1998-2002) with Bad Tölz when foreigner limit was abolished in the DEL.
Won two German league titles, one with
245 points (85+160) in 540 DEL games. German champion with Adler Mannheim (1997) and with Eisbären Berlin (2005).
Retired in 2010. Went on to work as an hockey expert commentator on TV.

Gabarit solide (188 cm, 90 kg), bonnes mains et jambes rapides. Bonne compréhension du jeu.
Personnalité extravertie voire excentrique qui donne son opinion au point de pouvoir être perçu comme potentiellement conflictuel.
Formé à Klostersee, il rejoint Rosenheim à 14 ans en 1990. Il quitte le club en 1996 pour rejoindre Mannheim et devenir champion d'Allemagne dès sa première saison.
Victime comme beaucoup de hockeyeurs allemands de l'afflux illimité d'étrangers après l'arrêt Bosman, il effectue un crochet de quatre saisons (1998-2002) par le niveau inférieur allemand (Bad Tölz) alors qu'il est pleine force de l'âge puis se réinstalle en DEL, à Berlin, Ingolstadt et Nuremberg. Il participe au titre des Eisbären en 2005.
245 points (85+160) en 540 parties de DEL.
Retraité en 2010, devenu consultant hockey pour la télévision allemande.
