Defenseman with outstanding offensive instincts. Very mobile and not afraid to join the rush.
Comfortable at playing both on the right and left side, adding to his overall value. Above-average skating. Good hands and technical skills.
A bit undersized for an NHL-defenseman, lacking some strength.
Jones made his NHL debut on April 22, in a 3–2 loss against the Philadelphia Flyers, and he recorded his first NHL point with an assist on a goal by Kaapo Kakko in his third NHL game on April 25, 2021 against the Buffalo Sabres.

À l'aise à gauche comme à droite, ce qui ajoute à sa valeur globale. Patinage supérieur à la moyenne. Bonnes mains et capacités techniques.
Un peu petit pour un défenseur de NHL (178 cm, 78 kg), il manque un peu de force.
