Started playing ice hockey thanks to his older brother. Pretty complete two-way center who didn’t stand out in any particular parts of the game, but also didn’t have any major weaknesses. Adapted very well and could play with any linemate. Formed a dangerous line in Frölunda for a few years with Tomi Kallio and Niklas Andersson.
Drafted in the NHL by St. Louis Blues in 2002, but declined to move to North America due to his family. Won the Swedish Championships three times.
Retired in 2009. Went on to coach in hockey.

Découvre le hockey grâce à son frère aîné. Centre défensif moderne, c'est-à-dire sans qualité saillante ni défaut majeur, susceptible de s'adapter à n'importe quelle ligne, rôle ou partenaire. Sa brève association à Frölunda avec Tomi Kallio et Niklas Andersson fit très mal.
Bien que drafté par St.Louis en 2002, il n'envisagera jamais de carrière en Amérique du Nord pour privilégier sa vie familiale. Trois fois champion de Suède, deux fois avec Frölunda, une fois avec Brynäs.
Après avoir raccroché en 2009, il devint entraîneur, assistant et principal (en Allsvenskan notamment).
