Played for Iwakura Tomakomai which had a very dedicated group of fans on the island of Hokkaido.
In the 1990s he coached the Japanese women national team, including the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano.
He was a good motivator as a coach.
His son Shinichi also represented Japan later on.

Il joua pour l'Iwakura Tomakomai qui possédait un groupe de fans très dévoué sur l'île de Hokkaido.
Dans les années 1990 il fut le sélectionneur des sélections japonaises féminines, notamment lors du tournoi olympique féminin de 1998 à Nagano.
Il était un coach particulièrement motivant.
Son fils Shinichi fut également international japonais.
