Speedy but rather small defenseman who born in Galt but grew up in Barrie to Austrian parents.
Played his entire minor hockey career with the Barrie Minor Hockey Association's representative teams.
In the late 1970s he earned a spot on the Barrie Colts Jr. 'B' team and then had a tryout with the Windsor Spitfires.
Made some hockey contacts in Austria when visiting the country with his parents. He was invited to try out for Austria’s junior national team.
The larger European rinks suited his speedy game and he subsequently made the Austrian national junior team that won the 1980 Pool B World Junior Championships.
He really enjoyed his time in Austria, living and playing in pitoresque towns like Innsbruck and Salzburg.
Formed a good defensive tandem together with Michael Herzog.
One of his career highlights was playing at the 1988 Olympics back home in Canada.
Represented Austria 71 times, scoring 21 points (6+15).
Moved back with his family to Barrie in 1989.
Coached junior hockey in Barrie and worked in bridge construction.

Défenseur rapide, mais de petite taille qui est né à Galt mais a grandi à Barrie de parents autrichiens.
Il a joué tout son hockey mineur avec la Barrie Minor Hockey Association.
A la fin des années 1970, il gagne sa place dans l’équipe junior B des Colts de Barrie puis a un essai avec les Spitfires de Windsor. A quelques contacts hockey en Autriche quand il visite le pays avec ses parents.
Il fut invité à faire un essaie avec l’équipe d'Autriche junior.
Les grandes patinoires européennes correspondent à son jeu rapide et il fat partie de l’équipe autrichienne junior qui gagne le Mondial B Junior en 1980.
Il apprécie beaucoup son sjour en Autriche, vivant et jouant dans des villes commes Innsbruck ou Salzbourg. Formait un bon tandem défensif avec Michael Herzog.
L’un de ses grands faits d’armes fut de participer aux Jeux Olympiques de 1988 à Calgary, dans son pays natal.
71 sélections en équipe d’Autriche, 21 (6+15) points.
Il a déménagé avec sa famille à Barrie en 1989. Entraîneur de hockey junior à Barrie, il a travaillé dans la construction de ponts.
