Large goaltender with fast reflexes. Was surprisingly agile for his size.
Efficient with his blocker and had a fast glove hand.
Too temperamentful at times, hurting his team. Not a particular good puckhandler.
Rookie of the year in Finland 1996.
In 1997 he won the “Urpo Ylönen award” as the top goaltender in the SM-liiga, as well as the “Lasse Oksanen award” as the best SM-liiga player during the regular season.
A nagging back injury slowed down his progress and he missed a total of three seasons due to it. Retired in 2011.
Bought a share in the largest fitness centre in Turku, M & M Fitness of the House in 2000. Was the majority owner with his brother.
Two other shareholders of the fitness center were NHL hockey players Sami Salo and Tomi Kallio.

Grand gardien avec des réflexes rapides. Plutôt agile vu sa taille.
Efficace avec son bouclier, il avait une mitaine rapide.
Trop de tempérament parfois, pénalisant son équipe. Pas vraiment bon quand il jouait le palet.
Rookie de l’année en Finlande en 1996.
Une blessure au dos a ralenti sa progression et lui a fait manqué trois saisons au total. Retraité en 2011.
Il a acheté des parts dans la plus grande salle de sport de Turku, M & M Fitness of the House, en 2000.
Actionnaire majoritaire avec son frère. Les deux autres partenaires étaient les joueurs NHL Sami Salo et Tomi Kallio.
