His late father used to play hockey in the Czech league for HC Olomouc.
Highly skilled forward with great stick technique.
An average skater with a well developed hockey sense. Nice playmaker with soft hands.
Useful on powerplays. Physically small and also lacking a bit of defensive awareness.
Stanley Cup winner with Detroit in 2008. Won the Lady Byng trophy as NHL most gentleman player in 2015.

Son père, également appelé Jiří Hudler [1962-2013], était défenseur en championnat tchèque pour le HC Olomouc.
Mis sur les patins dès l'âge de 3 ans, Jiří est un attaquant très talentueux avec une bonne technique de la crosse.
Patineur moyen avec un sens du hockey très développé. Bon créateur de jeu avec de bonnes mains.
Utile en supériorité numérique. Physiquement petit et manquant un peu de sensibilité défensive.
Vainqueur de la coupe Stanley en 2008 avec Detroit, et du trophée Lady Byng du joueur le plus fair-play de NHL en 2015.
