Sound positional defenseman with above average hockey sense. Solid skater, not flashy but reasonably steady and disciplined.
Not very physical, sometimes in trouble with removing big forwards from the slot. He blocked a lot of shots though.
World champion 1998 and Olympic champion 2006. Announced his retirement on April 24, 2013.

Défenseur au positionnement sûr avec un sens du hockey au-dessus de la moyenne. Bon patineur, pas spectaculaire mais raisonnablement stable et discipliné.
Pas très physique, il éprouvait parfois des difficultés à écarter les gros attaquants de l'enclave. Il bloquait toutefois beaucoup de tirs.
Champion du monde 1998 et champion olympique 2006. Il a annoncé sa retraite le 24 avril 2013.
