Nobody in his family had any interest in sports, except for his older brother.
Began playing ice hockey at the age of eight, after having followed his brother to the rink.
His brother eventually switched to football at the age of 15.
Won three Norwegian junior titles with Frisk Asker and one senior title.
Played in two Olympic qualification games in 2006.
Played a season in the Czech Republic to improve his skills. Retired in 2011.

Personne dans sa famille n'avait le moindre intérêt pour le sport, excepté son frère aîné.
Il a commencé le hockey sur glace à 8 ans en suivant son frère à la patinoire.
Son frère est passé au football à 15 ans.
Il a remporté trois titres de champion de Norvège junior et un titre senior comme second gardien en 2001/02 avec Frisk Asker.
Il est parti jouer la saison 2005/06 en République tchèque pour s'améliorer. Retraité en 2011.
