Began his ice hockey career at Brighton in 1942 where he grew up.
He was coached by Red Hamill and Marcel Lamontaine, then serving in the Canadian armed forces.
He also got valuable pointers from NHL stars like Turk Broda, Bobby Bauer and the Giesebrecht brothers.
Later played for Southampton where he was the captain and playing coach. Emigrated with his family to Toronto in November 1957.
He was a printer by trade, and two years later they moved to Aurora, ON where he established a paper and printing business. Was also involved in politics around Aurora.
Killed in an air crash in Canada in August 1964.

Il a commencé sa carrière en 1942 à Brighton où il a grandi.
Il a été coaché par Red Hamill et Marcel Lamontaine quand il servait dans l'armée canadienne.
Il a aussi reçu des conseils précieux de stars de NHL comme Turk Broda, Bobby Bauer et les frères Giesebrecht.
Il a ensuite joué pour Southampton où il a été capitaine et entraîneur-joueur. Il a émigré avec sa famille à Toronto en novembre 1957.
Il était imprimeur de formation et a déménagé deux ans plus tard à Aurora (Ontario) où il a créé une imprimerie. Il s'est aussi impliqué dans la politique locale.
Mort dans un accident d'avion au Canada en août 1964.
