Veteran of 16 World Championship and Olympic tournaments.
Worked as an officer with the National Defense Ministry in the early 1990s. On September 28, 1994 he was arrested with three other men in Snagov Sat. In their cars they had 4,5 kg of uranium (U-235 and U-238) which they tried to smuggle over the Romanian border. A laboratory showed that the bags contained highly concentrated natural uranium powder, exceeding safety limits by 50 percent.
He was charged with violating laws regulating the possession of explosive and radioactive materials and with narcotics smuggling.
In 2008 he candidated for presidency of the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation (FRHG) but withdrew before the voting procedure. Manager of FRHG.

Alors qu'il travaillait comme officier au Ministère de la Défense, il a été arrêté le 28 septembre 1994 avec trois autres hommes à Snagov Sat. Ils avaient dans leur voiture 4,5 kg d'uranium (U-235 et U-238) qu'ils essayaient de passer à travers la frontière roumaine. Les analyses en laboratoire ont montré que les sacs contenaient de la poudre d'uranium naturel hautement concentré, dépassant les normes de sécurité de 50%.
Il a été inculpé pour possession de matériaux explosifs et radioactifs et pour contrebande de produits illicites.
En 2008 il s'est porté candidat à la présidence de la Fédération Roumaine de Hockey sur Glace (FRHG) mais a retiré sa candidature avant le vote. Manager au sein de la FRHG.
