Younger brother of Sascha Goc and older brother of Nico Goc. Started skating at three.
His father came from Czechoslovakia to Germany.
Player with good speed and two-way instincts. Decent face-off man.
Capable and versatile player in all game situations. Inconsistent to play an effective offensive role at the NHL level.
Captained Germany to an Olympic silver medal in 2018. Announced he would end his career in 2020 after two injury-ridden seasons.
Became "skills and development coach" for Mannheim, a role fellow center Mike Ricci played for him when he was in San José.

Son père a déménagé de Tchécoslovaquie en Allemagne.
Joueur avec une bonne vitesse et instincts d’attaque et de défense. Bon aux mises au jeu.
Capable et polyvalent dans toutes les situations. Irrégulier pour jouer un rôle offensif efficace en NHL.
188 (75+113) points en 636 parties de saison régulière de NHL.
Capitaine de la médaille d'argent olympique de l'Allemagne en 2018. Champion d'Allemagne 2019 avec Mannheim.
Il a annoncé en février 2020 qu'il mettrait fin à sa carrière en fin de saison après deux dernières années marquées par les blessures.
Devenu "entraîneur chargé des habiletés et du développement" avec les Adler Mannheim, encadrant les jeunes et les blessés. Il se souvient que Mike Ricci avait tenu le même rôle de conseil quand il était à San José.
