Brother of Jan. Studied and played hockey at Lycée Jaccard, Switzerland and later at the Business school in Lausanne. There he got acquainted with the future Dutch Prince Bernhard.
Later added his mothers maiden name Teengs to his last name. Retired in 1942.
Also a good skiier and football (soccer) player. Was an underground leader and agent for the resistance during WW II. He was captured and tortured by the Germans.
He was sent to the Natzweiler-Struthof concentration camp in 1943 and then to Dachau 1945.
His body was used in medical experiments that later affected his health.
After the war he was very active in a club of ex-resistance members.
Also had close connections with the CIA. He worked for the Dutch airline KLM before being recruited by Lockheed as a special consultant.
His close friendship with Dutch Prince Bernhard was key to Lockheeds sales in Europe as the Prince had better contacts than most people.
Was a member of the Dutch Olympic Committee between 1969 and 1973.
Died when he suffered a heart attack behind the wheel and crashed with his car, killing him instantly.

Frère de Jan. Il a étudié et joué au hockey au Lycée Jaccard en Suisse et plus tard en école de commerce à Lausanne. C’est là qu’il fait la connaissance du futur prince néerlandais Bernhard.
Il ajoute plus tard le nom de jeune fille de sa mère, Teengs, à son propre nom. Retraité en 1942.
Bon skieur et joueur de football. Chef secret et agent de la Résistance durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Capturé et torturé par les Nazis.
Envoyé au camp de concentration de Natzweiler-Struthof en 1943 et à Dachau en 1945.
Son corps a été utilisé dans des expériences qui ont affecté sa santé.
Après la guerre, il a été très actif dans un club d’anciens résistants.
A eu aussi des connections avec la CIA, il a travaillé pour la compagnie aérienne nationale KLM avant d’être recruté par Lockheed comme consultant spécial.
Son amitié avec le prince Bernhard a été importante pour les ventes de Lockheed en Europe.
Membre du comité olympique néerlandais entre 1969 et 1973.
Mort d'un arrêt cardiaque au volant, l'accident le tuant sur le coup.
