29-10-1959 Ottawa, ON, CAN
Born in Ottawa, Ontario but moved to Toronto, Ontario as a little child. Moved to Barrie, Ontario at the age of 13.
For many years regarded as one of the fastest skaters in the NHL.
He combined his speed with a hard and accurate shot, making him a dangerous scorer. Not much of a playmaker.
Still holds the record for the fastest lap around a rink with a 12,8 sec lap in November 1992 during the NY Rangers qualification for the All-Star contest.
Holds the NHL record (with Jaromir Jagr) for most consecutive 30-goal seasons in the NHL (15).
This deeply religious man stayed in hockey after his playing career.
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
