Tough and robust defenseman who didn’t mind the rough stuff.
Liked to hit and play a physical style of ice hockey.
Together with Elöd Antal he was offered 100.000 marks by German club SB Rosenheim in 1976 to play with them.
Due to the political climate they couldn’t accept the offer without leaving the country illegaly.
Went on to coach SC Miercurea Ciuc. Also spelled “Gál”.

Il aimait frapper et jouait un style physique de hockey.
Avec Elöd Antal, il s’est vu proposer 100 000 marks par le club allemand de Rosenheim en 1976 pour jouer pour eux.
En raison du contexte politique, il ne pouvait accepter sans quitter le pays illégalement.
A été entraîneur pour le SC Miercurea Ciuc. Son nom est aussi épelé “Gal”
