Older brother of Scott Fusco. Won the Hobey Baker Memorial Award as the top US Collegiate player in 1983. Was a member of the US Olympic team in 1984 that had the pressure to try duplicating the effort of the 1980 team. Scored more than 200 points in over 300 career games. Retired in 1985 after having sustained several head injuries.
He didn’t think it was worth playing anymore, as he had a good education to fall back on and thought it was more important than risking further injuries. Was named president at Ajilon Consulting, an IT services provider.
Inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame.

Grand frère de Scott Fusco. Vainqueur en 1983 du Trophée Hobey Baker du meilleur joueur universitaire américain. Membre de l'équipe olympique américaine en 1984 qui dut, sans succès, renouveler l'exploit de celle du "Miracle on Ice". Mark Fusco aura engrangé 200 points en 300 matches d'une carrière écourtée en 1985 après de trop nombreux traumatismes crâniens.
Il jugea alors plus raisonnable de se retirer des patinoires, notamment car il disposait d'un excellent bagage universitaire, ce qui rendait vraiment inutile de risquer de sa vie. Il fut de fait nommé président d'Ajilon Consulting, une entreprise de services informatiques.
Introduit au Hall of Fame du hockey américain.
