Born in Falun and grew up in Borlänge. He also played football with IF Tunabro (Borlänge club) and was a member of regional Dalarna team in football too.
He played adult hockey at 16 with HC Dobel (new name of Tunabro). Junior national team coach Bengt Ohlson hired him in Leksand.
Played in Leksand along veteran Dan Labraaten, who helped him grow into a national team player.
Could be a difference maker with his speed. Strong and determined player in the corners.
Scored 222 (110+112) career points in 344 Swedish Elitserien games with Leksand. Scored 6 goals in one game vs Rögle in 1994/95.
Scored 217 (83+134) points in 274 DEL games with Cologne (from 1996 to 2001). Represented Sweden 112 times.
Retired in 2004. Worked for a company named Göthes in Falun. Served as assistant coach in Borlänge and Leksand.

Né à Falun, il grandit pas loin, à Borlänge. Il joue aussi au football pour le IF Tunabro et est sélectionné dans l'équipe régionale de Dalécarlie dans les deux sports.
Il a joué au hockey adulte dès 16 ans avec le HC Dobel (nouveau nom de Tunabro). L'entraîneur national junior Bengt Ohlson l'embauche à Leksand.
Il joue à Leksand aux côtés du vétéran Dan Labraaten qui l'aide à progresser et à rejoindre l'équipe nationale.
