Father of Nick Foligno. Moved to Italy with his family when he was a baby and lived there until age seven. Hard-nosed right-winger with a heavy shot and an above average scoring touch.
A positive influence in the locker rooms. Developed into a fine checking winger in later days. Turned into coaching after his playing days were over.

Bien que né au Canada, il vécut en Italie avec sa famille jusqu'à l'âge de sept ans. Formé à la glace à son retour pour y devenir un ailier droit teigneux et prolifique au shoot puissant.
Membre influent du collectif, il devint attaquant défensif avec l'expérience puis, les patins raccrochés, se fit entraîneur. Il est le père de Nick Foligno.
