Big and heavy defenseman. Solid defensive blueliner who seldom made any mistakes. Played a physical brand of hockey and and never tried to be flashy, just efficient. Sacrifying player who was able to deliver old school hipchecks. Relatively slow skater but effective in his own zone.
Scored 284 (89+195) career points in 932 games. Retired in 2005 at the age of 42 due to a bad back. Went on to coach in the lower Swedish leagues.

Défenseur imposant (1,90m et 105kg), solide sur sa bleue et commettant peu voire jamais de fautes, il pratiquait un hockey efficace, ne cherchant pas à aller au-delà de sa mission. Savait se sacrifier, notamment pour charger avec la hanche. Cette simplicité de jeu compensait sa lenteur.
284 points (89+195) en 932 matches d'une carrière divisée entre URSS et Suède, pays qu'il rejoignit quand l'Union soviétique fut démantelée. A joué à un haut niveau jusque 42 ans, seulement arrêté par son dos douloureux. Devenu entraîneur, toujours en Suède, dans les petites divisions.
