Imposing frame (195 cm, 103 kg). Very strong and physical stay-at-home defenceman. Fine breakout passes but low mobiity.
He grew up in Siegburg - near Cologne - with his German father and his Swiss mother, who came from Sissach. Because he has a Swiss passport he went to play there at 18 ans spent four years in Zug and five in Ambrì-Piotta. In 2024 he went back to Mannheim where he had played two years in his youth.

Robuste et très imposant (195 cm et 103 kg), Fohrler est très fort et physique dans les duels dans sa zone. Il est capable de relances intéressantes mais est peu mobile.
Il a grandi à Siegburg - près de Cologne - avec son père allemand et sa mère suisse, originaire de Sissach. Il a donc la double nationalité helvétique, et après avoir fini son apprentissage de mécatronique dans une entreprise de climatisation, il part à 18 ans pour jouer quatre ans à Zoug, puis cinq ans à Ambrì-Piotta en s'installant dans la capitale tessinoise Bellinzona. En 2024 il a été rappelé par Mannheim, où il avait passé deux saisons entre 14 et 16 ans.
