Had a long playing career. He played for several Bucharest clubs, including Tenis Club (1931-34), Telefon Club (1934-35, 1937-39), HC Bragadiru (1935-37), Venus (1940-46), Textila Buhusi 1946-47) and Dinamo (1948-49). Some sources spelled his name "Fluieraş", which was wrong.

Une carrière de vingt ans pour ce gardien qu'on appelait parfois, et par erreur, "Fluieraş". On vit donc Gheorghe Flueraş sous les maillots de différents clubs de Bucarest: Tenis Club (1931-34), Telefon Club (1934-35, 1937-39), HC Bragadiru (1935-37), Venus (1940-46), Textila Buhusi 1946-47) et Dinamo (1948-49).
