One of Europe’s swiftest skaters with great acceleration. Also a nifty stickhandler.
His biggest drawback was that he often tried to do too much himself.
Represented Austria 41 times. Was picked to play at the 1931 tournament but didn’t go in the end.
In 1933/34 he played in Zürich, Switzerland and in 1934/35 SG Cortina, Italy. He felt that he still had a lot to offer on the Austrian national team.
He offered his services but it was rejected by the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation who blacklisted players that played abroad.
Fought in the German army during WW II.
Finished his career as a playing coach during the 1950/51 season for HC Crans-Montana in the second Swiss league.

Un des patineurs les plus rapides d'Europe avec une grande accélération. Également un technicien habile avec la crosse.
Son principal défaut est qu'il essayait souvent d'en faire trop tout seul.
41 sélections en équipe d'Autriche. Il avait été choisi pour les Mondiaux 1931 mais n'y est finalement pas allé.
En 1933/34 il jouait à Zurich (Suisse) et en 1934/35 à Cortina (Italie). Il pensait avoir encore beaucoup à offrir à l'équipe d'Autriche.
Il a offert ses services, mais ils furent rejetés par la fédération autrichienne qui refusait les joueurs évoluant à l'étranger.
Il a combattu dans l'armée allemande pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale.
Il a fini sa carrière comme entraîneur-joueur du HC Crans-Montana en LNB suisse en 1950/51.
