Regarded as the best province player outside of Vienna for many years, and was the first one to make the Austrian national team in 1931/32.
He began playing bandy hockey with a ball in the early 1920s before shifting to ice hockey.
He was also a very good football player and played for Klagenfurt.
Had decent athletic background and was a fast 100 m sprinter.
Played for EV Wörthersee before joining Klagenfurter AC in 1929.
Played three years in Germany for SC Riessersee.
Always kept himself in good shape and could play at a high level despite his advanced age. Shifted to defense in later years.
Won the Austrian league title in his last season in 1955 at the age of 48 and scored the decisive goal vs Innsbruck.
Coached ice hockey one year in Yugoslavia (Jesenice). Worked as a cutter. Buried at the Stein-Viktring cemetery in Klagenfurt.

Il s'est toujours maintenu en bonne forme et pouvait jouer au haut niveau - en devenant défenseur - malgré son âge avancé.
Champion d'Autriche en 1955 à 48 ans pour sa dernière saison et auteur du but décisif contre Innsbruck.
Il a entraîné un an en Yougoslavie (Jesenice). Enterré au cimetière Stein-Viktring de Klagenfurt.
