Technical player who admired Czech and Russian players when he was young. His wife is Polish.
Didn't speak English when he went to the United States at age 17.
Offensively skilled center with decent creativity. Above average puck control and vision.
Fine playmaking acumen, but lacking ideal size for the NHL.
