Multi-talented player who could play at either wing or center. Very good skater and strong in the corners, where he used his upper body strength to good use. Had a fine shot. Played under the tutelage of legendary coach Herb Brooks while in College. Super competitive. Had a wicked shot.
Joined the Minnesota North Stars only four days after the 1980 Olympics. As an NHL-rookie he set a rookie record with 8 goals in a playoff series. Retired in 1984 at the age of 26.
He is the player who posed for the photographs used to sculpt the Hobey Baker Award given annually to the nation's top collegiate player. Went on to work as a commercial airlines pilot.

Signa avec les Minnesota North Stars seulement quatre jours après le sacre olympique de 1980. Détient le record NHL pour un rookie de huit buts pendant une série. Arrêta très tôt, en 1984, âgé de 26 ans.
Le trophée Hobey Baker remis chaque année au meilleur joueur universitaire a été sculpté d'après son visage. Devint pilote de ligne.
