He was born in Germany to Canadian parents and moved back to Canada as a child.
Bronsard was a relatively small goaltender and went undrafted in the NHL.
He was a talented goaltender who won the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as the outstanding goaltender at the Memorial Cup in 1997, he also made the Memorial Cup All-Star team that year.
On October 30, 1999, while playing against Rochester, Bronsard scored a goal for the Syracuse Crunch to become only the fourth goaltender in AHL history and first in Crunch history to record a goal.
Not getting much of an opportunity in North America, he decided to play in Europe where he suited up for teams in Germany, Russia, England and France. Retired in 2008.

Il est né en Allemagne (à la base des forces canadiennes à Lahr) et ses parents canadiens sont rentrés au Canada quand il était enfant.
Bronsard était un gardien plutôt petit qui ne fut jamais drafté dans la NHL.
Gardien talenteux qui remporta le trophée Hap Emms Memorial du gardien le plus méritant de la Coupe Memorial en 1997, il fut également désigné dans l'équipe étoile de la coupe Memorial la même année.
Le 30 octobre 1999, alors qu'il jouait contre Rochester, Bronsard a inscrit un but pour le Crunch de Syracuse, devenant le quatrième gardien de l'histoire de l'AHL, et le premier dans l'histoire du Crunch, à réaliser cette performance.
Faute de grandes opportunités en Amérique du Nord, il décida de jouer en Europe où il garda la cage de clubs en Allemagne, Russie, Angleterre et en France. Retraité en 2008.
