Speedy center who played for Phillips Exeter Academy, captaining both the football (soccer) and ice hockey teams.
Also a good basketball player and captained Princeton in university hockey.
Scored 28 goals and added seven assists in eight games 1949/50, scoring more than one-quarter of the team’s total goals, leading Princeton to an unbeaten season.
The following season he was once again the team leader with 23 goals, also adding 13 assists in eight games.
Also a top scorer in the Pentagonal League 1952/53 when he was an All-American. He was tied for the league lead with 16 points in eight games and scored 39 points during the entire season.
His seven points in a game was a club record that stood for 38 years.
Scored 103 (55+48) points in 52 games during a three year span for Princeton, only collecting three penalties.
Formed a dangerous line with Bill Gall and Jinx Cleaves.
Was a good stickhandler, passer and all-around player. Noted as a gentleman on the ice.
Was also an excellent football (soccer) player. Was an Olympic candidate for 1956.

Également très bon joueur de basket, et capitaine de Princeton en hockey universitaire.
Il a inscrit 28 buts et 7 assistances en huit matchs en 1949/50, ce qui représentait plus d'un quart des buts de son équipe, conduisant Princeton à un record jamais battu.
La saison suivante il fut l'un des leaders de son équipe avec 23 buts et 13 assistances en huit matchs.
Parmi les meilleurs marqueurs de la Pentagonal League 1952/53, quand il fut All-American. Premier à égalité de la ligue avec 16 points en huit matchs et 39 points sur la saison entière.
Ses sept points en un match fut un record d'équipe qui a tenu 38 ans.
Il a inscrit 103 (55+48) points en 52 matchs durant les trois années passées à Princeton, en ne récoltant que trois pénalités.
Il formait une ligne redoutable avec Bill Gall et Jinx Cleaves.
Bon manieur de crosse, passeur et joueur complet. Considéré comme un gentleman sur la glace.
Également excellent footballeur (soccer). Il fut candidat aux Jeux Olympiques de 1956 dans cette discipline.
