Learned to play hockey in Iserlohn and eventually went on to play in Mannheim as a 14-year old. Admired Pavel Bure.
After that he went over to Sweden for three years in order to improve his hockey skills. Fluent in Swedish.
Bergmann then moved on to North America where he played for almost three years.
Debuted on the German national team in November 2018, scoring in his 2nd game vs Switzerland.
Confident, technically savvy player and a good skater. Good shot. Not afraid to play physical when needed.
Signed by the San José Sharks in 2019, he debuted in the NHL a few months later.

Il a commencé le hockey à Iserlohn avant de partir à Mannheim à 14 ans. Admirateur de Pavel Bure.
Il considère avoir le plus appris en jouant trois ans en Suède. Il parle et écrit suédois couramment.
Bergmann est ensuite parti en Amérique du nord où il a joué presque trois ans avant de rentrer à Iserlohn en 2018.
Il a débuté en équipe nationale en novembre 2018 et a marqué à son second match contre la Suisse.
Joueur confiant, techniquement malin avec un patinage vif. Bon tir. Il n'a pas peur de jouer physique si besoin.
Engagé par les Sharks de San José en 2019, il a débuté en NHL dès sa première année de contrat, plus tôt que prévu.
